Where do baseball, barbecue and beer come together as one? I’ll give you a hint…it’s not your living room. The Parking lot! Tailgating has become a sport in its own right as thousands of Americans head to stadiums across the country hours before game time to eat, drink and be merry. While football is arguably the biggest tailgate season, baseball is a close second. As a new season gets underway, tailgaters across America gear up with some of the hottest tailgating products on the market!
Fire up the Barby There are hundreds of portable grills to choose from to cook up some bangin’ barbecue that will make the people in the next parking spot sit up and take notice. The Freedom Portable Gas Grill and the Texas Pit Crafters “Hitchen Kitchen” portable charcoal grill are two of the finest tailgate products on the market. Both are designed for a 2″ receiver type hitch, and the Freedom Grill weighs in at an easy 35 lbs, so even your little brother could hook it up.
For the frat boys at heart the Keg-a-que Portable Grill looks like a keg but cooks like a full-size barbecue grill. The charcoal unit has a sealed vent for smoky flavor, a heat resistant carrying handle and fold up legs.
And we can’t forget the sports nut. Ameriwest’s unique patented basketball and golf ball grills keep die hard fans loyal even in the off season.
Shelter from the Storm Sometimes even Mother Nature has a bad day, and good tailgaters are always ready for anything. King Canopy shelters offer tailgaters a shady haven from the summer heat or a dry spot in case of rain. They come with a carrying case and fit in the trunk of most cars for easy travel.
Cool Down Nothing is worse than warm beer. Having the right cooler to keep your beverages and food cold all day is essential to tailgaters. When it comes to coolers, Coleman’s got it covered. Coleman offers everything from rolling coolers, to steel coolers, vertical coolers and electric coolers.
Tailgating like a professional takes practice but keeping the essentials in mind will help you succeed the first time around. Find a gas grill or charcoal grill that’s right for your tailgating group and a shelter that everyone can relax under. Pack your food and beverages in separate coolers and don’t forget the ice! Trash bags, good music and plenty of food and drink to last you to game time will ensure the ultimate tailgate party this summer!
